Alan Watt was born in Aberdeen and studied at the RSAMD. He has sung principal roles in all the major opera houses in Britain, as well as appearing in festivals including Aldeburgh, Buxton and Wexford. Concert work also plays a large part in his career, and his wide repertoire makes him much in demand. Alan's recently foreign tours include Figaro at the Theater an der Wien, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte with Opera Du Rhin in Strasbourg, as two principal cats and one dog in Henze's The English Cat at Montepulciano, and most recently as Papageno in The Magic Flute in a production by Jonathan Miller, conducted by Zubin Mehta in Tel Aviv.
