  Tinuke Olafimihan began her vocal studies at the Colchester Institute. She joined Morley Opera, and in 1988 was awarded a Peter Stuyvesant Foundation Scholarship for study at the National Opera Studio. Recently she has studied with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf in Zürich and at the Britten-Pears School with Ileana Cotrubus. She has performed Zerlina at the Snape Maltings and Handel's Messiah at St John's Smith Square with Harry Christophers and the Sixteen. For English National Opera's Bayliss Programme, Tinuke sang Susanna in Marriage of Figaro. Last autumn she made her debut at the Royal Opera House in Meyerbeer's Les Huguenots and gave a Young Artist's Recital in the Crush Bar there. She also sang the role of Ismene in Mozart's Mitridate, and next season she will return to sing Clara in Porgy and Bess.
