The present working edition is published to accompa-
ny the first performances of La Vita Humana in mo-
dern times by the Scottish Early Music Consort on
13th and 15th August 1990 [sic] as part of the first
Glasgow International Early Music Festival. / Verses
in italics in the English translation indicate cuts
in the Glasgow performances. Italian verses in ita-
lics (final scene only) appear in the early libretti
but not in the musical score.
