Ace McCarron started lighting for opera with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies's company The Fires of London, and his productions with them included The Martyrdom and The Lighthouse. He has also designed for Kent Opera (Il re pastore), Musica nel Chiostro (Temistocle, Ba-ta-clan, and Mario e il Mago), City of Birmingham Touring Opera (Ghanashyam), Warwick Arts Centre (The St John Passion), and Music Theatre Wales (Philip Glass's new opera The Fall of the House of Husher). Ace has also designed for many theatre companies, and is an architectural lighting consultant, having recently completed work on the new Issey Miyake Shop in London's Brompton Road.
